Apple Sheet Pan Galette

Makes: 8-10 servings

Ingredients

  • 4-5 honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 pie crusts or 2 sheets of puff pastry, cold
  • 1 large egg, whisked
  • ½ cup brown sugar or granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • â…› tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp turbinado sugar
  • Heavy cream and powdered sugar for whipped cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F bake mode or 350°F convection mode.
  2. Cook apples in a saucepan with cider, brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and pepper until thickened. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  3. Roll out pie crusts or puff pastry into backing sheet lined with parchment. Score edges with fork.
  4. Arrange apples down center of crusts into rows.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cut into squares and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
