Sous Vide Mulled Wine Cocktail

Featuring the Wolf Vacuum Seal Drawer and Convection Steam Oven

Makes: 12 servings

INGREDIENTS:

● ½ cup water
● ½ cup honey
● 3 cinnamon sticks
● 3 star anise
● 1 orange, sliced into rounds
● 1 bottle medium bodied red wine
● ½ cup pomegranate juice
● Pomegranate seeds for garnish
● Champagne or sparkling water topper (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Combine water, honey, cinnamon sticks, star anise, 3 of the orange slices, and red wine into a vacuum seal bag. Set sous vide water bath or Wolf Convection Steam oven Sous Vide mode to 160F. Sous vide mixture for 1-2 hours. Remove from and cool in the refrigerator. Stain through a fine mesh strainer.
Combine mulled wine mixture with ½ cup pomegranate juice and stir. Pour into desired cocktail glasses, top with champagne or sparkling water if desired, and garnish with pomegranate seeds and a reserved orange slice.
